Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that his team is not controlling games as well as they used to. He pointed out that their possession play has weakened, and they are not as physically strong as before.
City is currently in fifth place in the league and faces a tough challenge in the Champions League after their loss to Real Madrid. Guardiola believes the team is not performing at the same level as in previous seasons.
Injuries have also made things worse. Defender Manuel Akanji will be out for around 10 weeks, and Jack Grealish might miss the game against Newcastle.
City will need to improve quickly if they want to stay in the race for trophies this season.
